NCAA basketball betting players know that the regular season is coming to an end, and every game increases in importance, meaning teams have to win the games they are expected to win. Louisville faces that scenario on Tuesday as they head to Rutgers to take on a squad that has dropped six of their last seven, but it’s the Big East where anything can happen and the Cardinals have been awful on the road.
Louisville Rutgers Betting – Tuesday, 9:00 PM ET
The Cardinals (20-7, 9-5) continued to be good at home and poor away from Louisville as they dropped Connecticut 71-58 on Friday, and they did it with defense. Louisville contained UConn star Kemba Walker to a 3-of-10 shooting night (he had 16 thanks to a good night at the foul line), and the Huskies shot 37% as a team. Peyton Siva had 15 points and six steals to lead the way for the Cardinals, who had just eight turnovers to 16 for UConn, and even soccer betting players know if you can force a lot of turnovers, you’re likely to boost your chance of success. Now, if the Cardinals could transfer that play to the road, where they have lost three straight and all of Louisville’s Big East losses have come away from home.
The Scarlet Knights (13-13, 4-10) took Syracuse to overtime on the road before falling 84-80, and they would have won if not for a massive discrepancy at the foul line: Rutgers were just 9-of-14, while the Orangemen were 34-of-47. Mike Coburn was the high man with 18 points and six assists, while Jonathan Mitchell chipped in with 13 points for the Scarlet Knights, who are far better than their record indicates. During this tough stretch, Rutgers have lost five of those six games by seven points or less.
Your pay per head sportsbook won’t sway a lot in either direction, but we think Louisville will be a slight favorite at Rutgers, where they are 2-1 SU and ATS. The Cardinals are 4-4 ATS on the road this season despite their poor SU record, while the Scarlet Knights are 6-6 ATS at home, so this will be a tough call for NCAA basketball betting players. The key to this game will be Coburn’s ability to handle the Louisville pressure, headed by Siva, and whichever guard dictates the pace of the game will give their team the best chance to win. Rutgers has problems finishing games, and we’re not sure how they’ll handle the pace of Louisville’s game and honestly, the Cardinals are too good to be this bad on the road. They need this game in order to improve their seeding for the Big East tournament, and coach Rick Pitino will have them ready to go. Take Louisville in your sports book.

College Basketball Betting – Wildcats, Pirates Meet In Intriguing Big East Clash
College basketball betting players are witnessing a particularly brutal year in the Big East, where anyone can win (except DePaul, apparently) on any given day. Therefore, Villanova’s visit to Seton Hall on Tuesday isn’t going to be as cut-and-dry as a lot of people would think it would be. The Wildcats have dropped four of their last six, including two in a row, while the Pirates are coming off a road win against a state rival.
Villanova Seton Hall Betting – Tuesday, 8:00 PM ET
The Wildcats (19-6, 7-5) wasted a big advantage on the glass and came up just short in a 57-54 loss at home to Pitt in a typical Big East affair that featured a physical edge, including an unintentional swipe to the face of Pitt’s Nasir Robinson by Villanova’s Isaiah Armwood. Mouphtaou Yarou led the way with 15 points and 10 boards, while Maalik Wayns was next with 13 points for the Wildcats, who were without Corey Stokes due to turf toe. UFC betting players would have been proud of the physicality in this game, in which the Wildcats outrebounded the Panthers by 12, and neither team shot above 40%.
The Pirates (11-14, 5-8) ended a two-game skid with a 69-64 win at rival Rutgers, as Jeremy Hazell got his name into the Seton Hall record books as the fourth player in their history to score 2,000 points. Hazell dropped 19 points in all, while Jordan Theodore came off the bench with 18 points and six assists for the Pirates, who shot 50% from the field and outrebounded the Scarlet Knights 26-21. The Pirates were miserable from the foul line, going 12-of-20, but they allowed Rutgers to shoot just 10 free throws.
Betting services will likely have the Wildcats favored at Seton Hall, where they are 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five trips. Villanova would love to have Stokes, their second-leading scorer, back in the lineup, and it also affected leading scorer Corey Fisher. Villanova isn’t a big team, but they’re bigger than Seton Hall with Yarou and Antonio Pena, and that is something they’ll have to exploit, especially if Stokes has to sit out another game. They’ll also have to shut down Hazell, one of the top scorers in the Big East, and the Pirates are certainly no offensive power, so if you can slow down Hazell, it puts pressure on the rest of them to step up. We’re banking on the Wildcats to bounce back from a tough loss to Pitt, and they know they can’t afford many more losses, especially to one of the Big East’s bottom teams (although we’re sure Seton Hall would be decent in any other conference). Take Villanova in your online sports betting picks.

College Basketball Betting – Coaches Will Be The Story In Lexington
Super Bowl XLV betting players can keep up the intensity with Rivalry Week in the NCAA, and on Tuesday, two coaches will likely take the spotlight when Tennessee heads to Kentucky. The Volunteers will have Bruce Pearl back after an eight-game suspension for recruiting violations, while Kentucky counterpart John Calipari is no stranger to violations, either.
Tennessee Kentucky Betting – Tuesday, 9:00 PM ET
The Volunteers (15-8, 5-3) may have been looking ahead to this week’s trips to Kentucky and Florida as they fell 65-60 in overtime to Alabama at home, snapping a three-game winning streak. Tobias Harris led the way with 19 points and 11 boards, while Cameron Tatum added 16 points for the Volunteers, who shot a miserable 34.9% from the field, and they hit just four of their 20 attempts from long distance. Those checking out NFL football betting odds will also tell you how much injuries can affect a team, and the Volunteers have been without leader Scotty Hopson, who has an ankle injury and may not be able to play on Tuesday.
The Wildcats (16-6, 4-4) lost another close game after falling 70-68 at Florida, and four of their six losses have come by two points. Brandon Knight had 24 points, while Terrence Jones chipped in with 18 points and seven boards for the Wildcats, who played a hard-fought game, but came up just short in Gainesville against a very tough Florida team. The Wildcats are having all kinds of trouble on the road, dropping four of their last five away from Lexington, so look for them to come out on fire on Tuesday night.
In a game that will be well worth the price per head for ticket buyers, not only for the players, but the coaches as well, Kentucky will be the home favorites. The Volunteers have lost seven of their last eight in Lexington, and they’re facing an uphill climb in this game. Just like a player trying to get back into game shape, Pearl has coached just one of Tennessee’s last nine games (his lone appearance was a neutral-site loss to Connecticut), so he may be a little rusty. The Volunteers are missing Hopson, and the backcourt is going to have their hands full with Knight. The matchup to watch comes in the post between a pair of freshmen as Harris and Jones will go at it, and whoever gets the best of that one-on-one battle will give their team a great chance to win. It’s going to be a gritty, physical game, and one that Kentucky will want to turn into a track meet, and we think the Wildcats will come away with the win at your favorite sports wagering sites.

NBA Betting – Heat Admit That Chemistry Has Been The Difference So Far
For as well as the Miami Heat have played in recent weeks, the superstars that have helped turn around the fortunes of this franchise have not denied that chemistry is still an issue for the team. While injuries have played a key role in their inability to truly establish an offensive rhythm to their game as of yet, Lebron James and his teammates clearly understand that they are not playing at the same level as rivals such as the Boston Celtics at this point in the online sports betting year.
James told reporters that his team is, “way behind those guys” in reference to the Celtics and the team chemistry that they have already developed. Lebron talked about how Boston had been playing together for years, and that the number of games played and the amount of playoff series’ that they had participated in is what makes the difference between where they are and where the Heat would like to be. Miami has played only 48 games together with the core of James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh together, compared to over 250 games played by the Celtics’ cast of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, and Ray Allen. While an argument could be made about which team has the better individual superstars, there is no doubting that the time that Boston has spent together has allowed them to feed off one another, and raised the sports betting bonus level of play for each player.
Even the Orlando Magic have had time to develop chemistry in spite of the massive trade that saw Rashard Lewis and Vince Carter leave town in exchange for Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson, and Baron Davis. While Richardson and Davis are completely new to the fold, Turkoglu worked with Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson en route to an NBA Finals appearance just two years ago. Turkoglu struggled during his time with both the Toronto Raptors and the Phoenix Suns, but seems very comfortable with Howard, who coach Stan Van Gundy has said helps elevate his game.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra has remained enthusiastic about the way that the team has improved during its first year, and stressed the importance of time together. Spoelstra spoke with the media about a common familiarity that will come with the team playing more games together, as well as spending extra time in practice learning to feed off of one another. Miami has benefited from the returns of Chris Bosh and Mike Miller to health, and incorporated both with more playing time over the past couple of weeks. With the Super Bowl betting weekend here, the NBA season has reached its halfway mark, and it’s the Heat that stand alone on top of the Southeast division NBA standings. Miami still has plenty of time to come together as a unit, and the health of the team will be critical going forward, as chemistry will be the difference between the Heat being a good team or a great team.
