College Football Bowl Betting – Liberty Bowl Preview

The Arkansas Razorbacks could be the cat’s meow heading into next season, but that’s assuming a couple of things fall into place.

Head coach Bobby Petrino has done an excellent job of turning around this SEC program and if stud quarterback Ryan Mallett returns and the Hogs can with their bowl game, sports wagering experts will have to give this team a lot of respect heading into next season.

East Carolina has been excellent under head coach Skip Holtz and after leading the team to their second consecutive Conference USA title, they hope he sticks around.

This should be an interesting contrast of offense versus defense.

Arkansas Razorbacks vs East Carolina Pirates

Sportsbook.com Odds (Sportsbook.com Review): Arkansas -7.5

2009 Recap: Arkansas

The Razorbacks had a slow start to the season but as the mantra goes, it’s not how you start, its how you finish. On the strength of the highest scoring offense in the SEC – yes, higher than Florida – and a 4-1 finish, the Razorbacks are one of the hotter teams heading into the bowl season.

With Mallett leading the offense, the Hogs have a very potent attack. The defense is still a work in progress but teams that were not able to slow down Mallett this year usually ended up on the losing end.

2009 Recap: East Carolina

East Carolina didn’t have the season it had in 2008, but it was still good enough for a second straight Conference USA title. There were no stunners against West Virginia or Virginia Tech this year but it was still a solid year.

They had a disappointing loss to SMU early in the year but swept the conference schedule after that. Then they topped Houston in the title game, which landed them in the Liberty Bowl for a second straight year.

Matchup

Internet sports betting cappers will see East Carolina play an SEC team for a second year in a row but it’s hard to imagine the results being any different.

East Carolina blew a big lead against Kentucky in the Liberty Bowl last year and this year they are playing a better team from the SEC. Arkansas is hot right now and while East Carolina has a decent defense, they haven’t beaten anyone elite this year (Houston doesn’t count).

Arkansas needs this win to spring board for next year and they’ll get it in emphatic fashion.

Sports Handicapping Pick: Arkansas -7.5

NBA Betting – Raptors, Cavs Aim To Extend Winning Streaks

Bobcats @ Toronto Raptors

Logans Odds (Logans Sportsbook Review): Raptors -7

The Toronto Raptors have won four straight games and will try to keep it rolling as the Charlotte Bobcats come to town.

The Raptors have won four straight but it’s hard to put much faith in that run when you consider who they have beaten. The Raptors won at home against New Jersey – the worst team in the NBA – New Orleans, and twice against Detroit.

On Wednesday, they will be hosting the Bobcats, who aren’t much of a team themselves so the Raptors could keep this hot streak going.

Charlotte has been pitiful of late and have really struggled in the last calendar month of the year. The Bobcats were 7-9 entering December but currently sit at 12-17. Overall, they have lost six of their last nine games.

While the Raptors aren’t a very good team on the interior, they should have an easy time of things against the Bobcats, who will be without center Tyson Chandler for this game.

The Bobcats are a good defensive team but they struggle to uphold that caliber of defense on the road. Expect the Raptors to have their way and get the win.

Sports Wager Pick: Raptors

Atlanta Hawks @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Internet Betting Odds: Cavaliers -9

The Atlanta Hawks are a young team that continues to get better each year under Mike Woodson. This year appears to be no different as they are off to a 21-8 start and are just half a game behind the Orlando Magic for the lead in the Southeast division.

By winning 21 of their first 29 games, the Hawks are on pace for their best season in the history of the franchise.

While they have been successful over the last couple of years, making back-to-back playoff appearances, one of the reasons why those appearances haven’t been journeys is the fact that only one Hawk was consistent in the clutch: Joe Johnson. This year, he has received plenty of help from Al Horford and Josh Smith down the stretch and Jamal Crawford has been a nice source of points off the bench.

More importantly, this team has grown up together and has very good team chemistry. They aren’t as good as the Cleveland Cavaliers quite yet but they will challenge them. Look for the Hawks to keep this one close on Wednesday.

Internet Gamble Pick: Hawks +9

NBA Betting - Five Games On Christmas Day

Miami Heat @ New York Knicks - 12:00 PM ET

The New York Knicks will be on display on Christmas Day as the lead game with the Miami Heat but one player who probably won’t make an appearance is Knicks guard Nate Robinson. Robinson has been buried on the bench in New York since he resigned for one year but he’s likely learned his lesson.

The Heat haven’t been great recently but they are the better team in this matchup. Look for Dwyane Wade to lead the way in this one.

Sports Wagering Pick: Heat

Boston Celtics @ Orlando Magic - 2:30 PM ET

The Celtics-Magic game will be the first highlight game of the day as the matchup will be a potential Eastern Conference Finals preview.

The Celtics will be a bit shorthanded for this game as guard Paul Pierce will be out a couple of weeks after having his kneed drained.

With Magic at home, they should be able to control this matchup and get the win.

Sports Handicapping Pick: Magic

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Los Angeles Lakers - 5:00 PM ET

The highlight game of the day will be the Cleveland Cavaliers-Los Angeles Lakers matchup. The Cavs and Lakers are perceived as the two best teams in the league and their stars, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, are the best players in the business.

It will also be another Shaq-Kobe matchup.

It’s tough to bet against the Lakers at home but the Cavs will make a statement on Christmas Day.

Internet Gambling Pick: Cavaliers

Los Angeles Clippers @ Phoenix Suns - 8:00 PM ET

The Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns will probably be the biggest mismatch on Christmas Day. The Clippers have been playing better basketball of late but the Suns are just one of the best teams in the West right now.

The Clippers don’t have the firepower to keep in this game so look for the Suns to roll.

Sportsbetting.com Review Picks: Suns

Denver Nuggets @ Portland Trail Blazers - 10:30 PM ET

The Denver Nuggets have carried over their momentum and performance from last year but one area where they still struggle is on the road.

While they are 12-1 at home they are just 7-8 on the road. That will be the main factor for the Blazers winning on Friday.

Pick: Trail Blazers

NCAA Football - Little Caesars Pizza Bowl Preview

Marshall Thundering Herd (6-6) vs. Ohio Bobcats (9-4)
Sportsbetting.com Odds (Sportsbetting.com Reviews): Bobcats -3

It will be a historic day for the Ohio Bobcats on Saturday as they make just their bowl appearance since 1968 in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, formerly known as the Motor City Bowl.

Internet betting
sharps should know that the Marshall Thundering Herd are no stranger to this bowl. They have played in four Motor City Bowls and have come away with wins three times. Their most recent bowl game was in 2004 and they have been a more frequent bowl customer than Ohio.

Sports handicapping
bettors know that the Thundering Herd started the season well winning four of their first six games but they struggled the rest of the way. They lost four of their last six, including a pathetic loss to UTEP in the finale.

The Bobcats have never won a bowl game but this should be a game where they have a shot. They have lost their previous three bowl games including a 28-7 loss to Southern Mississippi in the GMAC bowl in 2007.

The Bobcats are one of the hotter teams in the postseason. After starting the year 2-2, they ripped off wins in seven of their last nine games. The Bobcats were good enough to earn a spot in the MAC Championship Game but Central Michigan controlled that game and won rather easily, 20-10.

These schools are more familiar than you might think. The Thundering Herd were previously a part of the MAC and have a 29-17-6 record against the Bobcats.

In this specific matchup, the Herd will bring their vanilla offense to the table. They don’t do anything particularly special on offense but they can run the ball somewhat. But they don’t have much of a passing game and overall, this unit is fairly one-dimensional.

On the flip side, the Bobcats will bring a decent defense to the table. Their defense held opponents to just 21.3 points per game, which is impressive in the MAC.

Interestingly enough, the defense did struggle a little bit against the run, which sets up a good matchup against Marshall’s strength on offense.

Overall, the motivation in this game has to lie with Ohio. They are a team on the rise as they have made bowls in two of the last three years and are on the rise. For Marshall, this game won’t mean as much.

Look for Ohio to get a strong defensive effort and earn their first ever bowl win.

Sports Gambling
Pick: Ohio -3

NBA Betting - Busy Wednesday Before Christmas Eve

Houston Rockets @ Orlando Magic

The Houston Rockets have been decent this year without center Yao Ming but they haven’t looked like a serious contender. On Wednesday, they’ll get to measure themselves against the team was the best in the East last year to see just where they are at.

The Magic have won four of their last five games and finally got their All-Star point guard Jameer Nelson back in the lineup on Monday. The Magic should be able to dominate this game since they have the bigger front court.

Sports Betting Pick: Orlando

Minnesota Timberwolves @ New Jersey Nets

The worst two teams in the NBA will matchup on Wednesday night as the weakest team in the Western Conference faces off with the worst team in the Eastern Conference.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are just 5-23 so far this season while the Nets are a pitiful 2-26. The Timberwolves have more talent but the equalizer could be home court advantage. Look for the Nets to squeak out their third win of the season.

Bookmaker Reviews Pick: New Jersey

Golden State Warriors @ New Orleans Hornets

The Golden State Warriors are in very bad shape right now as they can’t figure out how to win. The Warriors started the season 6-10 but have won just one game since in 10 tries.

Meanwhile, the Hornets have turned things around of late by winning five of their last eight games. The return of point guard Chris Paul has obviously helped.

Paul had 30 points and 19 assists in the team’s last home game. Against a feeble Warriors squad, similar numbers are not out of the question.

Internet Sports Betting Pick: New Orleans

Atlanta Hawks @ Denver Nuggets

The Atlanta Hawks and Denver Nuggets are two young teams on the rise in each respective conference and while the Hawks have the better record overall, winning in Denver is going to be a tall order for them.

The Hawks are just 7-5 on the road this year while Denver is 12-1 at home. Playing in the high altitude clearly affects the Nuggets opponents and the Hawks will be the next in line.

The Hawks lost in Chicago on Saturday and will play in Minnesota on Tuesday. Their game against the Nuggets will be their third road game in four nights and fatigue will be a factor.

Sports Betting Tip: Denver

NBA Betting – Friday Night Threesome

There will be three NBA games broadcast nationally on Friday night. In Canada, the Toronto Raptors will host the New Jersey Nets on TSN2 and in the United States, ESPN’s doubleheader will start with the Milwaukee Bucks at the Cleveland Cavaliers and will finish up with the Washington Wizards at Golden State Warriors.

New Jersey Nets @ Toronto Raptors

Sports Betting System Odds: Raptors -12

The New Jersey Nets ended their ugly season-opening 18-game winning streak but they’ve promptly started a new one. The Nets have lost five straight and have been demolished in every contest, losing each game by double-figures.

The Toronto Raptors haven’t been as pathetic as the Nets have this year but they have been disappointing. They have lost two straight and are now 11-17 on the year. Their quick two-game road trip to Florida turned out to be disastrous as the Raptors lost 115-95 to Miami and 118-99 to Orlando.

On Friday night at home, though, internet betting cappers can expect the Raptors to dominate the Nets. The Nets have problems scoring while the Raptors don’t; that should be a recipe for success for Toronto.

Milwaukee Bucks @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Sportsbook Odds: Cavaliers -10

The Milwaukee Bucks made a great draft selection when they picked Brandon Jennings but unfortunately one player does not make a team.

The Bucks are still a few bricks short of a load, as evidenced by their 11-12 record. More importantly for Friday night, they are just 2-8 on the road as they head out on the road to face the red hot Cavaliers.

Cleveland has won four straight games overall and seven in a row at home. The Bucks will do their best but they won’t win at the Quicken Loans Arena.

Washington Wizards @ Golden State Warriors

5Dimes Review Odds: Warriors -1

The Washington Wizards have had a tough time of late. They have tied an NBA record with six straight losses of four points or less. The Wizards have had some very tough losses over the last week and their record is now 7-16 overall. As they say, close does not count.

The Wizards will try to get at least one win from their four-game West Coast swing as they play Golden State on Friday night. They Wizards finish the trip in Phoenix, so their best shot will come against the Warriors.

Even so, something just isn’t right in Wizardland so don’t bet on them right now. They are a team to stay away from until we see some better play.

Sunday Premier League Pick

Bukomir's Predictions

Barclays Premier League
06 December, 09

Fulham v Sunderland
We all know Fulham will push for a win here and having in mind Sunderland away mentality it is likely to see all 3 points staying at home. The win will lift Fulham above their visitors in the top half of the table and find them well positioned before the Christmas period starts with its busy schedule. However I am a bit worried about from where exactly the goals will come from. Fulham were lucky to win 1:0 against CSKA Sofia in their European game on Thursday night and it was so obvious again the team misses an experienced goal scorer. Dempsey is unstoppable lately but this is more a sort of a flash than a tendency.
On the other hand Sunderland have Bent, now ready to join the action. I bet he will need some time to adapt back to his rythm from the start of the season and will not like Craven Cotage that much as the defense is top priority there. The Black Cats have everything to prove on the road this season and every game is a chance to make Steve Bruce happier.
Both teams have produced enough low scoring affairs when you look back in the history and it looks like a fair exit on Sunday in a game that can easily go either way.

Bet selection:
My main bet on this game will be on Under 2.5 Goals for a nice reward of 1.80 offered by bet365

Have a problem - browse for info

As you probably remember I have designed a series of posts or reviews that will bring you closer to my web surfing findings aside of the pure betting numbers and calculations. I should admit this one may seems strange a bit but believe me, if you have this problem it can be your solution.

What is this Eye Floaters thing about? OK, lets start with you are not able to watch TV as a normal guy, to enjoy your favorite game without dealing with annoying dots and things in your eye field. The same about reading or driving. Or If you are browsing the odds for so long, as I do, online, site after site, eye floating can be a problem. You can read http://www.eyefloaters.info/ which explains how to eliminate the problem. And I did know now what is an vitreous floaters - well, the same, pretty much. NBA Basketball Betting – Friday Night Picks

While most bettors will be focused on the Florida Alabama lines in their online sportsbook, since that’s the big college football event of the week, here’s a preview of the ESPN NBA games on Friday night:

Chicago Bulls @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Sports Betting Odds: Cavaliers -12

The Chicago Bulls have been an inconsistent team this year but one of their impressive wins came on November 5th when they won at the Quicken Loans Arena. On Friday night, they’ll try to duplicate that feat as they visit the Cleveland Cavaliers once again.

The Bulls have some problems right now but they can’t figure out exactly what’s wrong. They were a respectable 5-4 before leaving on a West Coast trip but after one win in Sacramento to open the road trip, they lost their remaining five games. They bounced back with a win over the Detroit Pistons to end their five-game losing streak on Wednesday but winning in Cleveland on Friday will be a tall order.

The Cavaliers had a slow start to the season and part of that was a home loss to the Bulls. But since that loss, the Cavaliers have won 10 of their 12 games and have not lost at home.

The Cavs are hitting their stride while the Bulls are just flat-out struggling right now. Stick with those trends as the Cavaliers get a win over the Bulls an exert some payback.

Pick: Cavaliers -12

Miami Heat @ Los Angeles Lakers

Sportsbook Lines: Lakers -11

While many teams are sorting out their problems at the top of both conferences, the Los Angeles Lakers have been one of the steadiest teams around. Aside from losing back-to-back games to Denver and Houston, the Lakers are 13-1 since the start of November.

In recent weeks, now that the Lakers have their lineup back at full strength, they have been rolling opponents. The Lakers have won seven straight games – six of them at home – by a margin of 16.7 points per game.

The Lakers are a very dominant team with All-Stars at four of their five starting positions. The Heat do have Dwyane Wade but that clearly won’t be enough against such a balanced attack.

On top of that, the Heat will be playing their second game of a back-to-back on the road. Fatigue will surely be a factor as the Lakers win rather easily.

Pick: Lakers -11
