Premier League Weekend Preview

WILL BLACKBURN SHAKE OFF THE BLUES?
Rovers 5/1 for repeat success against the Champions

Blackburn are a huge 5/1 with bet365 to inflict defeat on Chelsea this Sunday. Mark Hughes will have his troops fired up for the visit of the Blues but will they have enough quality to get past the visitor’s stubborn defence? Chelsea are 1/2 for another three points while the draw is a tasty 11/4 with bet365.
Sunday’s other TV match pits Aston Villa (13/10) against Newcastle (7/4) with the Draw at 9/4. The Villains will be popular with many bet365 customers after an opening away draw at Arsenal and it’s 18/1 that they triumph by a 3-0 scoreline.

HAMMERS LOOK HUGE FOR SHOCK WIN
Pardew’s men 11/2 to triumph at Anfield

bet365 make Liverpool 1/2 chances to beat West Ham on Saturday, despite playing in Europe midweek and several injury worries. The draw is 5/2 but many bet365 customers have already backed West Ham at 11/2 for large amounts. Marlon Harewood is also popular at 10/1 to score the first goal.
Arsenal (4/6) and Spurs (4/5) have also been popular picks so far, with respective matches away at Man City (7/2) and at home to Everton (3/1). bet365 have also received a number of accumulator bets which include Man Utd (4/11) away at Watford and Fulham (10/11) at home to Sheffield United.

Prediction
I am absolutely sure about this one - Tottenham are desperate to go back on the road of success and will play their first at home looking for a confident victory that will keeps alive their CL hopes for the next season. Sheffield managed to stay 1:1 at home against giant Liverpool but they have no enough quality to stop Berbatov and company.
Tottenham are waiting on the fitness of striker Jermain Defoe after he bruised his foot against Bolton. Sheffield United will be without centre-back Craig Short after he failed to recover from the thigh injury which kept him out on Saturday.

2. West Ham to beat Watford
England Premierleague. Starts: 8pmUK, 10pmBG

Prediction
This game will answer the the question are Watford able to survive in the league this season. The team was pretty close to a surprising opening draw in the first round but lost. Now they welcome home West Ham. I think Watford is not ready for its first win and will have hard start of the season. West Ham is a very well balanced team and show confident away performances too.
Watford have no fresh injury worries. The Hammers are still without Dean Ashton and Matthew Etherington.

Soccer, Carling Cup: Forest To Progress

Pick From Carling Cup
1. Nottingham Forest to beat Accrington
Info & Analyses

Prediction
Nottingham Forest hwill face Accrington Stanley for the first time in their history. The Reds will be looking to navigate a safe passage through to the second round of the Carling Cup when they appear at The Fraser Eagle Stadium.
Accrington are without suspended midfielder Andy Proctor, and must await clearance from Charlton before picking on-loan keeper Rob Elliot (ankle). Midfielder Sean Doherty could be fit fter recovering from an ankle problem.
Forest boss Colin Calderwood could give some of his fringe players a run-out after four league wins from four. Gary Holt (virus) came through the 2-1 win over Brighton on Saturday, but Kris Commons (ankle) is unlikely to play.
Despite that Forest are the big favorite in the game and will not miss the chance to show their dominance in front of the TV viewers. 5/6 is a present for that game.

Basketball, WC: Japan To Win At Home

Pick From FIBA World Cup
1. Japan to beat Panama on handicap
Info & Analyses
1. Japan to beat Panama with 7.7 handicap
World Cup Japan. Starts: 11amUK, 1pmBG

Bet365 in Decimal - 1.83
Bwin in Decimal - 3.20 for clear win

Or you can always check My Sportsbook Guide - selection of recommended bookies.

You can follow the result in real time on Livescore.com

Prediction
After I took Lithuania today (I hope so did you) I can clearly see another chance for easy win using handicaps efficiently. Bet365 gives 7.5 points plus to Japan in their clash with Panama tomorrow and I think that should be enough for the home side. Japan and Panama had two loses so far in the tournament and this game is some kind of a crossroad for both. Japan rely on the home support and generally are more competitive team than Panama. The last one have tragically lost today - 57-101 by Spain.

Soccer, England: How To Start The Season

1:1. Sounds like a hard start of the season, right? Pool and Arsenal had that bitter opening of the battle yesterday despite all the predictions for easy wins. The first round of the Premierleague in England break up many prognosis and analyses - that is why I did not place my predictions for this early stage yesterday.
The results so far open the road to the big favorites Chelsea and Man United to
flying start of the campaign. And they are going to use it for sure. The Londoners are without Petr Cech, Robert Huth and Joe Cole, but they have so well balanced team and quality reserves for every position on the pitch. Chelsea look strong at 2/9 - but the question is - isn't it too risky to put your money down on such odds? It is, it is. That is why I won't risk on Chelsea and Man United today even I am sure they will take this openings.

Soccer, France: Early Test For Lyon

Pick From France
1. Lyon to beat Bordeaux
Info & Analyses
1. Lyon to beat Bordeaux
French League 1. Starts: 8pmUK, 10pmBG

Bet365 in Fractional - 6/4, in Decimal - 2.50
Bwin in Decimal - 2.50

Prediction
Lyon will have some kind of an early test for the title when facing Bordeaux away from home tonight. The League champions have already drop two points at home against Toulouse FC, while Bordeaux have won their first two games and surely will try to push further on Lyon. In the same fixture last term, Lyon drew 1-1 in Bordeaux. Now it will be pretty close again but Lyon can not afford to open a gap from the current leaders loosing new points here.

Basketball, WC: Lithuania On A Crossroad

Pick From FIBA World Championship
1. Lithuania to beat Greece (+3.5 handicup)
Info & Analyses
1. Lithuania to beat Greece (+3.5 handicup)
FIBA World Championship. Starts: 3:30pmUK, 1:30pmBG

Bet365 in Fractional - 1/1, in Decimal - 2.00

Or you can always check My Sportsbook Guide - selection of recommended bookies.

Prediction
Lithuania have no choice but to beat Greece in their second at the World Championship in Japan. They were so close in the opening game but Turkey stole the win. The team has class, that is for sure, and they should prove that against one of the Top 4 favorites - Greece. 3.5 plus handicup is not that much but I think they are going to make it and give us this not so bad 1/1 odds.

Soccer, England: First Win For Colchester

Pick From Championship
1. Colchester to beat Barnsley
Info & Analyses
1. Colchester to beat Barnsley
Coca-Cola Championship. Starts: 3pmUK, 5pmBG

Bet365 in Fractional - 6/5, in Decimal - 2.20
Bwin in Decimal - 2.20
William Hill in Fractional - 5/4

Or you can always check My Sportsbook Guide - selection of recommended bookies.

You can follow the result in real time on Livescore.com

Prediction
Both teams know each other very well from the lower division. Last time when Colchester welcomed Barnsley here the result was 1:0 for the home side. United performed well in the first two of the season despite the fact they registered two losses - they came very close even in Birmingham but unfortunately have lost 1:2. The team is motivated for its first win in Championship and Barnsley, a well known opponent with not so confident current form, is the "perfect" visitor.

NFL: Who Else Wants A Pre-season Profit?

It is a fact
There are many bettors who will not even consider having a wager on the pre-season NFL games. We see about 3% of the action on a typical pre-season match up as we would on the same game if played in the regular season. But for those prepared to do a bit of research, betting on pre-season games can be the most profitable time of the year.

Hard job for the bookies
"As a linesmaker, we find it very difficult to set the lines on this game. So much of the pre-season training will have gone on in private and we have no idea how much or little preparation the teams will have got in before they play exhibition matches.", share betUSA specialists. And it is true that some teams will not be fully fit as the coach will prefer to slowly wind up his squad until they are all ready to fire on all cylinders in Week One, while some want to get the feeling that their team is a well prepared unit that knows what they are doing weeks before the season starts.
The hardest problem to solve is to know when the teams will take off their starters and give other, less important, players a start. The key thing for all teams in pre-season is to avoid any serious injuries to their star players. Having your starting quarterback taken out for the season in a largely meaningless contest is not a good idea and coaches will do everything to avoid this scenario. The players who win big from us on pre-season spend a good amount of time studying the coaches’ previous pre-season patterns and working out which coaches will be going for a morale boosting win and which coaches really don’t care. Some coaches obviously care – either about winning or simply covering the spread to keep the fans happy – and some obviously don’t care.

Shrewd bettors
Shrewd bettors will also be spending time looking all the way down the squad to see whether there are players who are currently the second and third choices for their position but who, with a good display in training and the pre-season games, could make their mark and take over the starting position. Where there are two or three players who might impress enough to take over the starting position there is a good chance the side will be motivated to play through to the final down and therefore will be a good bet against-the-spread.

Quick Guide On How To Place Your First Bet Online

Why To Choose Online Betting?
It is that simple - more flexibility and bigger odds. You can bet 1 minute before the game, sitting in you chair in front of the TV or even bet "“in play"” while the game is going. You have more markets to choose from and almost every sports game in the world to bet on.

STEP 1 - Create your online fund and deposit

This is important, this is your money and how you are going to throw them in fire. The moment is crutial - many players decline to go further exactly at that stage because they do not feel there is an convinient way to upload their money online. My advice is not to deposit directly into your bookmaker's account but to find a secure place where you can manage easily an online wallet and serve your every online need of money. I personally prefer Money Bookers method not only for uploading funds in my betting and poker accounts but for making online transactions as general. You can fund your wallet there with wide variety of methods including the old school bank transfer, debit and credit cards, etc. and merely every bookie, poker, casino or bingo ro0m online will accept your money bookers transaction.
Choose how much money exactly to upload and risk in your starting gambling career and you are ready for the next step.

Step 2- Ok, let's do it...choose a bookmaker
There are too many of them and all are promising almost everything - amazing bonuses, even free betting money, fighting for your magic sign up. You can save probably days for browsing different sportsbooks with my list of recommended online bookies. I did this job for you while trying to be as objective as possible and base my reviews on some real experience. Of course I will keep this selection up to date and have more bookies reviewed inside. You will find "“I like"” and "“I dislike"” sections and you can use that opinion to roughly select a sportsbook before you go in details, sign up and...

Step 3 - Place Your First Online Bet

Sounds easy but be carefull. You need to carefully choose your sport, game, odds and stake. Do not throw all your bankroll at a single game. If it is possible even back up your bets in a couple of different sportsbooks. As a beginning avoid the too low odds as 1.20/1.15 - they really look like sure money but often the outs are different (sometimes bookies manipulate the odds or even the games, they say).
You can always stop by my blog for more free tips and picks - I will be gla dif I can help you build your solid online wallet.

Prediction
It was a great start of the season yesterday while we had some confirmation of our verdicts (10 men Birmingham managed to win 2-1) and, unfortunately, a surprising 1:0 defeat of Stock City as a visitor to Southend. What we have today is a unpredictbale Derby and S'ton clash (however you can start your predictions with a draw) and the game I have chose here.
Coventry have a nice home record against S'land and we can add to that fact the tradition of not so confident opening games for the Black Cats. Actually the game mirrors the opening day clash from the start of the 2004/2005 season when the Sky Blues secured an impressive 2-0. There is a great chance to repeat that successful start today.

Coca-Cola Championship Goes On Its Way

Here we go - the first touch of real English football comes this weekend as the Championship goes on its way. Many of us still believe that the heart of UK football is being kept in this level(or even lower) of competition and this season battles should prove that again. We can clearly distinguish few teams which have better quality in their squads and will probably be the major players through this long campaign. Now is the perfect moment to have a look at the "To Win Outright" market and place some good bets - less money on big odds; you lose nothing and you can just win a thrill for the whole season.
Birmingham and West Brom - look carefully for both. They relegated last season from Premiership and are anxious to go back to the first level of English football. Actually a whole gap in regards to football quality stays between these two and the rest of the division. Bet365 gives at that early stage 7/2 for Birmingham to win the Championship and 5/1 for West Brom to do the same. Of course you can try also Southampton at 9/1 considering their quality selection on the transfer market or even Leeds at tasty 10/1.
Picks From Matchday 1
Birmingham to beat Colchester
Bwin gives 1.40
After a season plagued by injury which effectively cost Blues their place amongst the English elite, Bruce has the luxury of an almost fully fit squad to choose from. Bruce's options have been even increased this week with the addition of Arsenal youngsters Fabrice Muamba, Sebastian Larsson and Nicklas Bendtner. Summer signings Stephen Kelly, Bruno N'Gotty, Neil Danns and Cameron Jerome are all in line to make their respective Blues debuts.
Colchester are doomed to failure.

Stock City to beat Southend
Bwin gives 2.70
It's going to be a tough game for sure and you can say it is too risky but I will give a try. Southend have sold out, it's their first game in the Championship, they're building it up and it's going to be a close game. But Stock City traditionally start the season strongly and show confident away performances. As a plus Pulis is set to throw new signing Danny Higginbotham straight into the firing line for the game.

Soccer, Germany: Hamburger To Hold The Draw

Pick From German Cup
1. Werder to draw Hamburger
Info & Analyses
1. Werder to draw Hamburger

Prediction
It is the semi final in German Cup competition before the start of the season. Hamburger are just brilliant so far in the friendlies but Werder have a nice record in their clashes with today's opponent. Both teams will play very wisely in defense while waiting for their European tournament challenges and will probably manage a draw in the 90 minutes. The statistics shows that Werder and Hamburger make very close matches and two of the last 4 games came to a 1:1 draw.
